BAPTISM PREPARATION SESSION

All parents wanting to have their child Baptized in the upcoming months must have an interview with Karen Corcoran, Lay Pastoral Associate before each Baptism Preparation Session (last one for the summer is June 21st). Please note that the Baptism Date must be confirmed with Karen BEFORE you make arrangements for family and friends to attend.

The next Baptism Preparation Session will be Thursday, November 22, 2007 at 7:30 pm in the Library.

The upcoming Baptism dates are: Sept. 30 at 11 am, Oct. 28 at 4 pm, Nov 24 at 5 pm, and Dec. 23 at 9:30 am.

LONGING FOR THE HOLY — women who search for God

BIRTHRIGHT

A pro-life crisis pregnancy service, requires volunteers, men and women to assist those facing unplanned pregnancy, by providing practical solutions as well as support and comfort. Training is provided. Help us to “love them both…mother and child”. For more info call 416-469-1111.

If you are a parishioner of OLPH, are you registered? You can register on-line at office@olphtoronto.com or you can fill out a registration form in the vestibule. You have the option of supporting OLPH church by requesting Sunday Envelopes or by participating in the Pre-Authorized Monthly Program (donation withdrawal is made once a month from your bank account). ROSARY APOSTOLATE

Support for Separated or Divorced Catholics

Catholic Family Services of Toronto is offering another series for "Families and Individuals going through Separation or Divorce". The program will be offered from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at our Central office, 1155 Yonge Street (Summerhill subway station) beginning October 4th, and at our North Office, located at 5799 Yonge Street (Finch subway station), beginning on October 9th. PREPARING FOR A PROVINCIAL ELECTION - A CATHOLIC PERSPECTIVE

A provincial election will be held in Ontario on Wednesday, October 10th, 2007. All those who are eligible to vote are encouraged to exercise their democratic right to do so. In the coming days, Catholics are asked to take an active role in learning more about the candidates seeking election in their riding, the views of political parties and how they will impact our community.

A number of resources have been prepared to help Catholics reflect on the important role we play in choosing those who will lead our province. You may access these resources by visiting the Archdiocese of Toronto website at: www.archtoronto.org

SHARE LIFE

Share Life is accepting donations to aid the Asia Flood Relief and the Peruvian Earthquake Relief. As in the past, funds will be channeled through the Catholic Church’s Caritas International partners. Caritas teams are currently proving emergency supplies including food, clean water and clothing in several countries. The earthquake in Peru has left more than 700 people dead, 3,000 injured and more than 20,000 homeless.

Those wishing to help may do so in the following ways:
