BAPTISM PREPARATION SESSION

All parents wanting to have their child Baptized in the upcoming months must have an interview with Karen Corcoran, Lay Pastoral Associate before each Baptism Preparation Session (last one for the summer is June 21st). Please note that the Baptism Date must be confirmed with Karen BEFORE you make arrangements for family and friends to attend.

The next Baptism Preparation Session will be Thursday, November 22, 2007 at 7:30 pm in the Library.

The upcoming Baptism dates are: Sept. 30 at 11 am, Oct. 28 at 4 pm, Nov 24 at 5 pm, and Dec. 23 at 9:30 am.

You have the option of supporting OLPH church by requesting Sunday Envelopes or by participating in the Pre-Authorized Monthly Program (donation withdrawal is made once a month from your bank account). 1ST RECONCILIATION & 1ST COMMUNION

Registrations forms are now available in the vestibule for children attending Public and Private School. Deadline to return the Registration Form is Sunday September 30th. Parent Meeting is on Wednesday, October 3rd, 7:30 pm in the Parish Hall.

PREPARING FOR A PROVINCIAL ELECTION - A CATHOLIC PERSPECTIVE

A provincial election will be held in Ontario on Wednesday, October 10th, 2007. All those who are eligible to vote are encouraged to exercise their democratic right to do so. In the coming days, Catholics are asked to take an active role in learning more about the candidates seeking election in their riding, the views of political parties and how they will impact our community.

A number of resources have been prepared to help Catholics reflect on the important role we play in choosing those who will lead our province. You may access these resources by visiting the Archdiocese of Toronto website at: www.archtoronto.org
