If you are a parishioner of OLPH, are you registered? You can register on-line through our website www.olphtoronto.com or you can fill out a registration form in the vestibule and place in the collection basket. You have the option of supporting OLPH church by requesting Sunday Envelopes or by participating in the Pre-Authorized Monthly Program (donation withdrawal is made once a month from your bank account). For further info or to request Sunday Envelopes, please call Helen at the office at 416-489-1540 ext 221.

Right to Life Christmas cards

Will be on sale in the vestibule of the church after each mass on November 17th & 18th. Cost of the cards is 10 for $7.00.

BAPTISM PREPARATION SESSION

All parents wanting to have their child Baptized in the upcoming months must have an interview with Karen Corcoran, Lay Pastoral Associate before each Baptism Preparation Session. Please note that the Baptism Date must be confirmed with Karen BEFORE you make arrangements for family and friends to attend. Monthly baptisms are on a first come first served basis.

The next Baptism Preparation Session will be Thursday, November 22, 2007 at 7:30 pm in the Library.

The upcoming Baptism dates are: Oct. 28 at 4 pm, Nov 24 at 5 pm, and Dec. 23 at 9:30 am.

ALL SOULS ENVELOPES

As in the past, we will have a Remembrance Book on Christ the King altar with the names of the departed. Please ensure that you return your envelope no later than Sunday October 21st in order to give us time to compose the Remembrance Book. Please print clearly the names of the persons that you wish remembered.

40th Anniversary of DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE

Join us in celebrating the 40th Anniversary of DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE. On Saturday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m. Archbishop Collins will preside at a special liturgy at St. Basil’s Church, 50 St. Joseph Street and a reception will follow.

In 1967 the Canadian Bishops founded Development and Peace and over the past 40 years its “achievements reflect something tangible about the reality of faith working through love, God’s using the human person as an instrument of his peace.” It has provided $500 million to support 14,665 projects in 70 countries in the South with the solidarity and generosity of Canadian Catholics.

Celebrate with D&P on Friday, Oct. 26, 6:45 pm with a panel of speakers including Father Peter Henriot, S.J., from Zambia, 121 St. Joseph Street. On Oct. 27 Father Henriot will lead a workshop on Catholic Social Teaching, 10:00 - 11:30 am at 100 St. Joseph Street.$20 for Fri. Evening and Sat. Morning, $15 for part time,$10 students, $0 unwaged.
