The Epiphany of the Lord

“On entering the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother; and they knelt down and paid their homage. Then, opening their treasure chests, they offered Him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.” God asks us to give our lives. What treasures have been given to you to share with others in Christ’s name? If God is calling you, call Fr. Liborio Amaral 416-968-0997 or email vocations@vocations.ca or www.vocationstoronto.ca

OLPH PARISHIONERS

We would greatly appreciate it if parishioners would not use Sunday Envelopes from PREVIOUS YEARS as that number may be assigned to someone else (especially if you did not pick up envelopes every year) then your donation could end up in another parishioner’s account.

The envelopes have a different colour each year in order to distinguish them from the previous year. If you have not used envelopes in a couple of years, you can either use Visitor’s Envelopes (found at each entrance of the church) or you can call the office and request Sunday Envelopes for the current year. Thank you for your assistance.

Have you moved or are you moving?

If you are registered with OLPH, please don’t forget to notify the office of your new address so we can mail your income tax receipt if you are not in this parish anymore. You can call 416-489-1540 ext 221 or email office@olphtoronto.com Also, we have a couple of bundles of corrugated boxes from our move if anyone is interested in purchasing them for a move or storage.

WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY

Parishioners of Our Lady of Perpetual Help are invited to attend the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity Celebration hosted by Archbishop Thomas Collins. The Archbishop has invited the major religious leaders from throughout the metropolitan city of Toronto to join with him in prayer for Church unity.

The service will be held on Sunday, January 20th, 4:00 pm at St. Paul’s Basilica, located at 83 Power Street (at Queen St.). Refreshments will follow.

This year’s celebration marks 100 years of formal prayer for Christian Unity, first celebrated as the Church Unity Octave by the Franciscan Friars and Sisters of the Atonement at Graymoor, Garrison New York.
