Tax-saving alert related with BCE

BCE (Bell Canada), one of Canada's premier telecommunications companies, has confirmed a take-over bid and will soon become a private company. All common shareholders are required to sell or donate their BCE securities and will face a large tax bill because of the greatly appreciated value of their stock. By donating your shares to our parish, ShareLife, The Shepherds' Trust, St. Augustine's Seminary or any other charity within the Church, you can avoid the taxes on gains, dividend reinvestments and stock splits and spin-offs. Please consider using this opportunity as the deadline to sell is expected to be this spring.

Please call Paul Nazareth, Manager of Planned Giving and Major Gifts at the Archdiocese 416-934-3400, ext. 561 for information on all gifts of shares (or any non-cash property). Please share this message with other Catholics you know!
